Mr. Patrick Liau Kong Voon is appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion REIT Management Sdn Bhd, the Manager of Pavilion REIT effective from 14 February 2024. He graduated from the University of Lancaster with Bachelor of Arts (Accounting and Finance) and is also a CFA charterholder.
His career started under the UEM Group management programme before joining a boutique firm providing advisory services. Thereafter, he joined Tanco Holdings Berhad, a public listed company involved in property development, hospitality and leisure as its Group Financial Controller before joining a joint venture company (JVCo) of Sapura Energy Berhad, as Director of Finance & IT; part of the JVCo's founding management team.
In 2009, he joined a real estate private equity fund that was later acquired by BlackRock. As a Director, Real Assets, Patrick was responsible for BlackRock real estate's business in Southeast Asia (excluding Singapore) which included the development and asset management of a mixed-use commercial property comprising two Grade A office towers, a retail podium and a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. He also executed the disposal of all of BlackRock Asia Property Fund II's assets in Malaysia over a period of 3 years with total value in excess of USD500 million.
He joined Capitaland Development Malaysia as its Managing Director in 2018 responsible for investment and development activity. Thereafter in January 2020, he was relocated to Vietnam as the General Manager responsible for investment, asset management and the management of CapitaLand Development's Hanoi office. During the Covid-19 pandemic period, he took a turnkey handover of two office towers and a retail podium, and led the disposal of the asset at a value in excess of USD550 million. In addition, he also recently completed the investment into 2 residential plots in Hanoi. |
