UZMA - Notice of Bonus Entitlement

UZMA BERHAD

Bonus issue of up to 172,131,403 new ordinary shares in Uzma Berhad ("Uzma Share(s)") ("Bonus Share(s)") on the basis of 1 Bonus Share for every 3 existing Uzma Shares held as at 5.00 p.m. on 7 April 2025 ("Entitlement Date") ("Bonus Issue")

 

Kindly be advised of the following :

 

1) The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “EX-BONUS ISSUE” as from: 04 Apr 2025
2) The last date of lodgment : 07 Apr 2025
3) Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-        
          a) Selling Broker to deduct  <1/4>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
          b) Buying Broker to deduct <25.00%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
          c) Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of <1/4>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks 1: 

Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 07 Apr 2025 with bonus issue of UZMA shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive UZMA bonus issue shares, may sell any or all of his UZMA shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (04 Apr 2025).

 

For example, if Mr X purchases 300 UZMA shares on cum basis on 03 Apr 2025, Mr X should receive 300 shares on 07 Apr 2025. As a result of the bonus issue, an additional of 100 UZMA shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 07 Apr 2025 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell a total of 400 UZMA shares on or after the Ex-Date i.e. from 04 Apr 2025 onwards.

 

Remarks 2: 

The Bonus Shares will be listed and quoted on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") on 8 April 2025, being the next market day after the Entitlement Date on 7 April 2025.

 

The notices of allotment will be issued and despatched to the entitled shareholders of Uzma Berhad not later than 4 market days after the date of the listing and quotation of the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.
