BURSA ANNOUNCEMENTS

We refer to the announcement dated 30 November 2015 in relation to the Proposed Joint Venture. Unless otherwise stated, words and phrases used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the aforesaid announcement.

On behalf of the Board, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad wish to provide the following additional information:

1. It is the intention of the Board that the proceeds arising from the Proposed Joint Venture earmarked for future investments, which may include acquisitions of strategic investments and/or strategic collaborations, joint ventures or alliances, if any, will be utilised for future investments in mature and positive cash flow-generating utility/infrastructure-based businesses/assets locally and in developed markets abroad in line with the TCB Group’s existing business and growth strategy.


2. In the event the proceeds arising from the Proposed Joint Venture are utilised for working capital purposes of the TCB Group, such proceeds will be utilised for the day-to-day operating expenses of the TCB Group, which include, amongst others, the payment of trade and other payables, overheads as well as other general administrative expenses.
