MSC - Notice of Bonus Entitlement

Bonus issue of 420,000,000 new ordinary shares in Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad ("MSC") ("MSC Share(s)" or "Share(s)") ("Bonus Share(s)") on the basis of 1 Bonus Share for every 1 existing MSC Share

Kindly be advised of the following :

1) The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “[EX-BONUS ISSUE]” as from: 14 Jul 2025
2) The last date of lodgment : 15 Jul 2025
3) Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-        
          a) Selling Broker to deduct <1/2>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
          b) Buying Broker to deduct <50.0%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
          c) Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of <1/2>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks 1: 
Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 15 Jul 2025 with bonus issue of MSC shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive MSC bonus issue shares, may sell any or all of his MSC shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (14 Jul 2025).

For example, if Mr X purchases 100 MSC shares on cum basis on 11 Jul 2025, Mr X should receive 100 shares on 15 Jul 2025. As a result of the bonus issue, an additional of 100 MSC shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 15 Jul 2025 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell a total of 200 MSC shares on or after the Ex-Date i.e. from 14 Jul 2025 onwards.

Remarks 2: 
The Bonus Shares will be listed and quoted on the Main Market of Bursa Securities and secondarily listed on the Main Board of SGX on 16 July 2025, being the next market day immediately after the Entitlement Date. 

The Share Registrar of MSC will issue and despatch the notices of allotment for the Bonus Shares to the entitled shareholders of MSC within 4 market days after the listing date of the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Securities. Entitled shareholders of MSC are not required to take any action.
